Collective AgreementsGEA concludes collective licensing agreements for the related rights of recorded music (L. 2121/1993) with professional associations across Greece.
Members of the local businesses' associations accede to these collective agreements for the legal use of the recorded music. The agreements are based on the scheme of the collective licensing agreement between GEA and the Hellenic Federation of Restaurants and Related Businesses (ΠΟΕΣΕ) which offers the music user better terms in collaboration with GEA.
For the businesses- members of the local associations that do not accede to the collective agreements or oppose to the offered terms and conditions, GEA applies the terms and conditions, applicable to all non-association members. In some cases for the rightful representation of the related rights, held by hundreds of thousands musicians, singers and producers worlwide, GEA is obligated by law to take legal actions for the judicial determination of the equitable remuneration.
GEA on behalf of the Greek and foreign rightsholders (musicians, singers, producers) always welcomes and invites in communication with all local professional associations for licensing their members for the recorded music rights.
