Cancellation and Refund Policy
This cancellation and refund policy concerns the service regarding the payment and pricing of reasonable remuneration for the public performance/presentation to the public/broadcasting of recorded music. Since our service concerns the payment and invoicing of the reasonable royalty of recorded music and does not concern the sale and purchase of a product, the possibilities of cancellation and refund are limited and are governed by the following terms:Cancellation of Service / Termination of Use:
Since the payment and invoicing relate to the licensing for the public performance/presentation to the public/broadcasting of recorded music, it is not possible to cancel the service after the payment has been completed and the invoice and the relevant licence have been issued.
Refund:
Refunds can be made only in the following exceptional cases:
- Incorrect Payment Amount: If more than the amount of the annual fee has been paid in error, a refund of the difference will be considered.
- Double Payment: If a double payment has been made in error for the same period of use, the possibility of refunding one of the two amounts will be considered.
- Payment from a Non-Corresponding Tax Identification Number: If the payment is made from a Tax Identification Number that does not correspond to the company whose details the invoice was issued to, and this results in the impossibility of correct accounting identification and registration, the possibility of refunding the money will be considered in order to make the payment from the Tax Identification Number that corresponds to the company whose details the invoice was issued to, provided that the user will contact the accounting department immediately and provide the necessary information for the correction.
Procedure for a Request for Refund:
In the cases referred to in paragraph 2, contact the GEA’s accounting department directly, within 5 working days of payment, providing:
- Your details and contact information.
- Invoice number.
- Date, time and amount of payment.
- Reasons for the request for return.
- Proof of payment.
- In the case of a non-matching VAT number, the correct VAT details.

Review and Approval of Request:
Each request will be reviewed by GEA’s accounting department and will require internal approval based on the information provided.
Return Processing Time:
If approved, GEA will try to process the request within 10 working days. The timing of the funds’ appearance depends on the bank/payment provider.
Other Cases:
